Spent today coding this. Moving stuff around inside of table cells is a pain. A multiple hour pain :/

I’ve been messing about with Habari as a possible CM for my site. It’s a rather sweet little package that can handle any domains I care to set up.
The only problem I’ve had is that the posting section requires me to code everything by hand. Maybe I’ve been spoilt by WYSIWIG editors such as TinyMCE or FCKEditor… I dunno.
But it was quite a change for me, to the point that I had to get an extension to give me back my TinyMCE experience.
Unfortunately, this rather broke the look and flow of the admin panel. So I hacked apart the CSS of the TinyMCE theme to play nice, and the result is displayed in today’s image.
Wall of text much?

Got this crazy idea for messing with pixels to create something… psycadelic? Certainly making for a break from my norm of grunge :)

Apparently lack of motivation, for me, results in grungy graphics.

Played about with some photoshop effects on a tattoo design I did for a friend a while back.

Busy day, so nothing fancy
Check back tomorrow for more

Wow today has just flown by. Didn’t even realise how late it had gotten until it was very much dark outside.
Today is another extension of my work on my friend’s website, looking a little bit at content layout. It’s far from perfect but the idea is to let her produce some of her own sketches with her posts (such as the phoenix in today’s image). I’ll probably play about with this some more tomorrow and smooth things out a bit more.

Working on a page footer today. I’ve got a rough layout in place for it The large (empty) space on the left is going to be for a contact form made out of strips of paper that the user writes on.
PermalinkAnother continuation from previous day. This time sees me finishing the header and working towards integrating it into a broader site design.
PermalinkToday has the completed (unless I tweak some more) header image for my friend’s site that I showed a WIP of yesterday.
It’s MUCH wider than needed for a page header, but designed so that the important content will always be in view, with the extra being an added bonus for users with a wider than normal screen resolution.

A WIP shot of a piece following on from an earlier entry. Going to add to this tomorrow and see if I can’t finish it.

This piece sprang out of nowhere. I was bored and it happened. Obviously lacking content and a logo, but I like how it’s shaping up.
PermalinkFollowing on, again, from the last few days from my wordpress mockup and coding, I’ve laid out the additional pages.
There’s still some work to do, by way or organising content better and implementing a few more graphics, but it’s definitely a step towards completion.
PermalinkYesterday I posted about a mockup of a site. Today I’ve been coding it into a working design. It’s not complete yet, but you can see what I’ve produced so far.
PermalinkAfter nearly six weeks of asking a new client to provide a high-resolution digital file of their logo so that I can begin work on designing their Web site, I finally received an e-mail with the logo attached. It was part of a 2.5-by-2-inch black-and-white newspaper ad that was sent to me pasted into a Word document.
Been through similar stuff before. It’s not fun to have things drag out…

Following on from yesterday’s piece, today is a site mockup that I’ve put together as a concept for a website. Colours are based upon their existing site (www.artsekta.org.uk) and the content is also taken from there.

Started working on a mock-up of a site today. As a part of it I wanted a somewhat prominent image rotator. Thisis what I came up with.

Decided to try something different today, produced this.
PermalinkBeen having a hard time working out what I was going to do today. Figured I’d try my hand at something I’ve never quite gotten right, a polaroid design. So here it is.
